Get to know The Life Coach

Hello, my name is Efren Urrutia (Life Coach, Vida Real Life Coaching)

I immigrated from Mexico to the United States in 1981 with a burning desire to start anew and seek out better opportunities. Growing up in West Texas, my mother worked tirelessly to set a strong example for me to follow. However, after finishing high school, I found myself lost and uncertain about my direction in life. So I made the brave decision to venture out and explore what the world had to offer beyond the familiar confines of my hometown.

In 1994, I arrived in Nevada, where I chose to start a family as a young man. Over the next 27 years, my life was a rollercoaster of highs and lows, largely influenced by the choices I made along the way. Yet, as they say, "life can be a tough teacher", somehow I always found the strength to get back up, dust myself off, and keep moving forward.

Reflecting on my journey, I realized that my limiting beliefs had always held me back from becoming the best version of myself. But with newfound self awareness and a commitment to breaking down all those self-imposed barriers, I now strive to empower others to achieve their own dreams and unleash their true full potential.

What is it about certain stories that have a profound impact on some of the ways we connect to its characters? We love the stories about the fallen hero that makes the ultimate comeback and ends up saving the world from near destruction. We become infatuated with the dreamer that wants to prove their artistic value and be accepted by the same world that has kept them down. In my recent travels I had the opportunity to re-watch two movies on the plane as I had two hour flights both ways. Normally I would read my books and write but this time I wanted to do some research by reflecting on these two stories. Limiting Beliefs: How Do They Hinder Our Growth

One of the biggest hurdles for my clients to overcome is the lack of confidence due to the limiting beliefs that are heavily rooted in their minds. I say in their minds because that is essentially the issue in its entirety. It is all a specific mindset that has evolved overtime. The seeds are planted early (sometimes in young childhood) once people are able to connect actions and thoughts into their own perspectives and beliefs. People are told what they can or can't do. If their thoughts are against their own cultural norms then they are told to think differently and change who they want to be or do. This is all part of the domestication process and it has been going on since the beginning of time. Regardless of one's beliefs there has always been a certain "way' to be, do, and act. The freedom to think outside the box has never really been encouraged unless it is for the greater good of humanity and can ultimately be controlled....
